Girlfriends are sometimes better the second time around.
Yesterday I got my G33/357 barrel and mags for
my Glock G27/40 and I headed out to the range with 200
rounds of 125 gr Winchester Ranger T-Series HPs.
Gun was flawless and accurate.
But recoil slowed down my trademark rapid fire, double tap, drills.
Not good.
Now I see why Glocks in 40 are so wildly popular with LE agencies.
My P239/357 is a much heavier gun and has much less recoil.
I was a little disappointed.
This morning it seemed like I could hear a soft familiar voice calling me.
It was my MK40 Elite asking for a second chance.
Not really her fault at all, our first time together wasn’t good.
I bent the slide stop spring reassembling.
And loosened a fresh one in a later shooting session.
Both causing premature slide lock.
(Don’t say a thing Jocko! Don’t say it – LOL!).
So I pulled her out of storage with 200 Ranger Bonded HPs
and opened fire. Some things are better the second time around!
Fully broke in, with a tight fresh slide stop spring,
the little girl performed like never before (isn’t that nice).
Back at home, easy break down, clean, tighten slide stop spring and reassembly.
My romance has been rekindled with the young shinny little girl.
What a pleasant Halloween Eve surprise!
BTW my Galco Jak Slide holster is perfect for her.
On my right hip, OWB, inside the belt. SWEET!
