I've bought 6 firearms from Cabela's in the last year, with a seventh on layaway as I type. True, I get my employee's discount, but you can't beat the customer service and the selection, unless you are looking for a very specific firearm.
Before I worked here, I was always a customer, long before they ever opened up the first store in Sidney, NE. I have the job most people dream of, where you are eager to go to work, love the people you work with and just have fun when you have to "work".
Now, I did put myself in a position by retiring out of the military where I could "work" where I wanted rather than have to work for the almighty $$$ to support myself and the wife. Guess you could say I'm blessed.
And Cabela's is one of the best companies to work for in my very limited civilian work experiences. From what I've seen since I've been there, they will go out of their way to take care of the customer.
Just don't tell my wife about the firearms I've purchased since the Tommy Gun. She said that was the last one, no if's, and's or but's about it. And I'm on my fourth one since!

And, yes I will wait until they have one in stock. I do not encourage anyone to use a credit card if you cannot pay it off every month. However, I use my Cabela's Visa for just about all purchases, gas, groceries, and things I need to buy anyway, and I get points. I have outfitted my reloading bench and hunting equipment with free goods complimentary of Cabela's Visa. What more can I say.

Thing is, I am a Cabela's card holder and had 80.00 in points that I used to help in the purchase. The reply I got about not giving me the sale price or coupon price came from corporate web site. Did you guys go back to the store to talk to them? This may be worth a try. I don't dislike Cabella's ,I'm just abit upset about it.

I'm sure they're good guns, but $500.00 for a mousegun just didn't feel right to me.
However, the sweet DAO trigger pull pushed me into actively looking for a Kahr I thought more affordable - so yesterday I brought home a CW45 (purchased at a different LGS).
Thanks, Cabela's

I bought a brand new P380 through my LGS for $515. I've never had a problem with Cabela's, but they don't have the best prices.

Have never purchased gun from them because no store in area but have purchased from online stores with no problem. LGS does have good selection but most of the time gun is 100.00 more from him. Try to support as much as possible but sometimes have to purchase online. Cabelas has always what I needed online and have never had a problem with them.

Hi Deano,
The reason I am waiting is: FREE. I have accumulated enough Cabela points by using my Cabela's Visa that I can walk out with a Kahr CW45 without spending a dime. I don't know about you, but I like FREE.

I would NEVER buy a pistol from Cabela's, Gander Mtn or Bass Pro Shops. You will overpay every single time. Unless you like to pay more for stuff, then by all means, go ahead.

You would have to have them price match a store with good prices.

3 Weeks ago when I ordered my CW45 from my LGS he said there were 46 available in the Twin Cities area from his supplier.

It's here! I was at the NRA Convention and talked to the Kahr reps and they told me they should be in stock at Cabela's within a month or less. The convention was on the 13th I emailed them on Monday got a reply on Tuesday that they had arrived on a truck on Monday May 7th. So the Reps were right. I pick up the CW45 tomorrow and hope to post some reports shortly.
