Dates for good Kahrs?
I read about problem Kahrs and many seem to be from 2009 or so.
Is there a date from which improvements were made to make these much better guns?

My single Kahr has been pretty good lately, but since he has been pretty lonely, I think he might like to date a nice female Kahr.

I would say that anything in 9mm that you get is going to be a good one. that's Kahr's bread and butter. My 9mm's are excellent.
The others are good too but may actually take the 200 round breakin mentioned.

The P380 seemed to have difficulty until the RCXXXX serial numbers.

There was batch of barrels with some iffy plating as I recall. More a cosmetic than functioning thing, but I suppose it might effect the functioning under severe conditions.
Kahr is probably still making good on a few of those now and again.
Thats about all I can think of. Got an older PM9 the "Jocko" model, and couldn't be happier with it. Eats ammo like Cookie Monster eats Oreos.

Read the friendly manual *** The notch in the rail is supposed to be there (so quit askin' about it!) *** If you ever have to manually extract an empty case from an auto-loaders chamber, don't shoot again until you've checked for bore obstructions.

I would say if a owner gets a flaking barrel, kahr will take care of it. We have not heard of that in some time so maybe that little plating issue is behind us to. truthfully IMO the PM9J is the best kahr ever made, I Now own two of them, my last one I traded a lcp even up for it and this gun is a real shooter. I dont think I will mess with it at all, just gonna leaveit stock .Its probably gonna be my range gun more than ever my carry gun...

Their will always be some flaws in anything made by man. Q.C. is always run by Man and wer'e not perfect. Read the manual, do what it says and you'l be another happy customer. Some complain about the 200 round break in period. I bought a $2300.00 1911 some years back with a 500 round break in period and it still wasnt reliable enough for me to rely on so i sold it. Nothings perfect, most of the time its us that's screwing up something that works.
