    Not pocket carry, for sure.

Nice set up Bird! Something I've always liked about Berettas is their smooth as glass slide action. Great guns that surprisingly have lost some of their appeal since losing the military contract. Still well made though and as good as ever. I still have my Cougar and probably always will but have let the rest go.

Hey beretta, yes, I guess you would be the beretta guy on here. I did not put 2 and 2 together! I would like to try one of those 96’s after looking them up. Would look nice with that rail and a compensator!

I had one a few years ago. I was all about the 1911 at the time, so it did not vibe with me at the time. I certainly feel different now. If you get a chance, you may just like them. But then again, one man’s pleasure can be another's terror!

Many departments didn't like them, claimed they had issues. We never had any issues that could be blamed on the gun.
I vividly recall the Beretta Armorer Class. 3 very full days of totally dismantling the gun. Bajillion springs and detents in that slide. It was fun though. Stayed in contact with the instructor up until a few years ago.
His rule was when springs go flying, look for 5 minutes, then go to his magic box and get a new one. End of the day I'd find springs I was sitting on or stuck to clothing. About 25 in the class so spring were flying.
I was looking at the take apart vids and see what you mean. I hope I can retain all of those springs! I may just use the large ziplock freezer bag method!

Well, that IS the reason I've never had a 9mm. I do have a 1911, though!
I had the opposite happen my first go round, as stated in my recent reply, and shot the 1911’s better. But this go round, at least with the comped version, I’m shooting it better than my 1911’s. Go figure! : )

It certainly is. Yes, if I was going to be a duty guy, I’d sure like to have that capacity!

Think I need to find a new part time job to have a little slush fund again.
I think you remember me posting up about “buttercup”, the Colt Competition I had in 9mm. That thing was suuuuuper fun to shoot and one of the, if not THE most accurate 1911 I could shoot. I bet you’ll really enjoy one when, not if, you do get a 9mm 1911.
