Ah yes ! The Valdez rifle with it's special loads

I forgot about Valdez, Susan Clark played in that one. And Missouri Breaks, another good one. . I just watch another western a few nights ago called Tell Them Willy Boy is here. Clark played in it with Redford, Blake, Katherine Ross

I was confused about The Appaloosa with Brando. For a while I had it mixed up with the movie Appaloosa with Mortenson & Harris

I don't think I ever saw that Brando movie

Although not a true western I do like Hildago w/ Mortenson.

It has lots of horses which I love, like Bite the Bullet. And actors that can really ride.

My eyes are getting teary thinking about all the horses we had. It a b$#ch getting old and the knees giving out.

sounds like you respected those horses and they you as well. You will ride them again while they wait for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

I also like Hidalgo but #1 is Silverado and #2 is Open Range. I like a lot of westerns from Eastwood and The Duke but I watch Silverado every 6 months. I like Open Range because of Duvall and the gunfights which are pretty realistic.

I came up with 2 more. One that's on frequently, The Mountain Men w/ Heston & Keith. The other is one I haven't seen in a long time, The Cheyenne Social Club w/ Stewert & Fonda

    It's from 1966, so yes it's dated.

    Still love this movie.
Seems to get better every time I watch it
