I think this has been discussed before and it is due to not being quite assembled right. Check to see if the firing pin is sticking out when it should not be. Somewhere in the owners manual is addresses that problem. However that may not be your problem. Wait for others to address this situation and they will tell you what is causing the drag. It will be an easy fix with the right information and is not because of a defect.
