Gave both of mine away to sons for Christmas along with a bunch of Pmags & ammo. Ain't gonna replace them.

I have absolutely no problem with those that like the AR platform. I just can't justify the need, or want. I'm just a compliant serf .... just a few lever guns

Don't own an AR and honestly don't want one.
We have already experienced ammo and firearm shortages.
Enough times, lasting long enough, to change how many of us feel about ammo and firearms.
I'm pretty comfortable with whatever the future holds.

I have got to get me a ruger mini-30. Ive wanted one of those for a long time,
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Checking several online sites, like Bud's, Grab-A-Gun, etc, they're either sold out, or the price has gone through the roof.

    Not cool.
Huh? grabagun has the sport ii for $519.00 in-stock, my local lgs wants $600+ and that price has been like that a long time; maybe you were looking @ the M&P15 811000 or 11511 those are different animals than the cheaper made sport ii

Had my eye on this one, and it's out of stock.

I suppose the one you mentioned with the 10 round mag would be OK, but I'm just gonna buy from my LGS.

Same story with the Ruger AR556.

The 10 round mag one is still available and priced like the S&W 10 rounder.

I paid $589 for my original Sport from GaG several years ago - the early version with no FA or dust cover. Nice value AR that was fun to shoot.

I took my AR out for a little recreation on Saturday. Coyote hunting, no 'yotes came in but we did manage to find a few prairie dogs that were dumb enough to be outside their burrows. My farthest hit (actually 2) was at 296 yards according to the range finder. Funny how they don't duck into the hole when bullets hit next to them!

My AR isn't exactly a typical one, 26" SS heavy barrel, 6x-18x scope. I'm building another upper for it though, with a 16" barrel and a red dot. So far component prices haven't moved much if at all.
