A good opportunity for a cautionary note. For those who don't already know this....Mini-30's generally do not play well with that old surplus 7.62x39 ammo that is, or at least used be, sold by the 1440 or whatever round case. I have a lot of that, but it's reserved for my SKSs. My Mini-30 lives happily on a diet of Winchester ball and Corbon hollow point.

    Yup Ruger = 308, Surplus 7.62 = 311.

Thanks for that info. Thats good to know.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Thanks, Col. I couldn't quite remember the exact diameter them Russkies assigned to it.

Mini-30 will eat it, but not the best idea other than in a pinch.

I own what I think will soon vanish as sales went in the toilet after President Trump was elected. An Original DD-M4.
It blows away any other AR I ever shot including my original Colt 6920.

Default I'm not like everyone else...

Just for the record, I love domestic ammo.
    But also AK reliability.
So my two Aks are 5.56 NATO and .308 Winchester.

My Son was ordering an AR upper yesterday from CDNN. They told him that the supply is dwindling down and once they restock the prices will go up "a bunch".
If you want to build your own, buy your parts now for the best price.
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
    "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
    "more stuff than you are"
