Probably best to send me that lower left corner. Seems to be the black sheep of the family.

I'll provide counselling and make it feel gooder about itself. I do this as a public service.

So does that mean I shouldn't look for it in the mail? Crap.

And of course the weekend wouldn’t be complete without another purchase.

Well it ain't anything fancy but when a local shop had this for $299 with a free mag I had to get it. Shot 200 fmj and 2 mags of HST with no problems. I think this will make my carry rotation after another range trip.

The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Picked up my two old Mossbergs today. Two in one week, that's an all time record for me.
Looking them over I'm quite pleased so far. As good or better than I had hoped.

Here's the 142A a fold down forend with the hard to find T Bolt. The scope is an old Weaver but clear as a bell. I planned to take it off and put the correct sights on it but the scope is so nice I'm gonna try it out first. Might just leave it.

The other is a 46, longer more target style. Has adjustable peep and rear ramp and 4 different post options up front. Adjustable trigger. I had to get this one as it's the most complete one I've ever seen. I even got the original hang tag from 46 or 47 if I don't miss my guess.

Dust cover which is usually missing is intact.

Adjust rear sight on the barrel. Very fine adjustments.

Nothing like a shiney new very old gun.

Now I'm searching for a 30/40 Krag. Boy do they get a ton for those.

Those are 2 really nice rifles. I’ve never seen a fold down fore end before.

Seems a lot of guys just remove it, it's plenty long without it but it's kind of cool and makes a nice grip when folded down too.
I have the semi auto version of this same rifle and found some gorgeous figured wood on that one. I been real fortunate on these things. I think I have / had 5 now, prior to the sink hole ya know?
