Thread: K and MKpistols

  1. #1

    Default K and MKpistols

My preference in cartridges is the 38 special, 45 acp, and 380 acp. I got on a polymer kick a few years back and through trial and error found that I believe the Ruger LCR and Kahr polymer framed pistols pistols were the best handguns for carry made. I chose the Ruger LCRX, both a 1 7/8 inch and a 3 inch version. 38 spl of course and the Kahr CT380 and CW45. I am very fond of them and it's doubtful that I will ever be without these 4 handguns.

However, I have discovered that while the lightweight plastic guns are great for carry, I really prefer steel, and in a twist, stainless steel, which is an odd thing from me because I don't really like shiny guns. To this end, I have added the Ruger SP101 and GP100 357 magnums and the Kahr K9 to my carry guns, and recently put a MK9 on layaway. 357 and 9mm are concessions to me as well, but I can live with them.

What I want to know, has Kahr ever made or considered a MK380 (T380 anyone?) Or a K45? I think either, or both, would be pretty sweet.

We've all been begging for a K45, but no joy. I doubt we ever see one.
All the new developments seem to be focused on the polymer products.

The Ruger additions are nice...……….springs, polish, and you have great shooting/carry firearms. Been carrying an MK for 8+ years...…….one of the best.

    My MK9 is superb. A MK45 is doable as is a K45.

Kahr is a small company and I doubt that they pull it off.

My MK40 Elite is my pride and joy Kahr.
    I'd buy a K45 Elite without blinking
But it seems our voice falls on deaf ears...

    Oh Well

Why? They have the T series that are .45
Now they could make an MT45, that be cool!

Because the T series is a different frame size then K or MK.

Personally, I don't care that much. I'm not into Kahrs for .45ACP. But if I were I'd most likely want one in K. The T has never worked for me. Get to that size and I have other arms that fit nicely.

Just what do you suppose an MT would look like anyway? Perhaps like a K?
