Read this first. Some good recommendations. Most don't need the full treatment, some need nothing at all but it never hurts.

Welcome. Wish you the best on your first range trip. And we look forward to hearing about it.

Read and heed the "proper prep" thread. Not much I can add to what is there. What I can assure you of however is that a Factory NEW CM9 is going to exhibit a "Break-in". The CM9 is a great little pistol, and I love mine. That said however...when someone asks for a recommendation who I KNOW isn't a "firearms enthusiast", and is not inclined to do much more than take his shiny new gun to the range with a single box of ammo...shoot a few rounds then load her up and call it good..I tell that individual a CM9 probably isn't for them. IF you're willing to follow the advice and work through the break-in...you're going to end up with an excellent carry weapon.

Don't try to run 500 rounds through in one range trip. I'd recommend shooting no more than 100 rounds per range session and clean and lube in between range sessions. The CM9 is a very tightly built gun. Once you get through the first 200 rounds your CM9 should loosen up a bit.

Welcome to the forum and to the CM9 Owners Club!

What kind of business dress is required? Is it absolutely essential that no one discovers you are carrying? If so, Thunder71, who wears business dress suit and tie every day, will tell you to look seriously at the SmartCarry. I have one, too. You carry down next to your junk. Not awkward like you might imagine. Slide it to the left to do #1, and you can slide it up to midrift level without taking it off or the gun out when doing #2. The inventor, who is a thin man, hides a full sized 1911 in one easily. The CM9 will disappear with ease.

ok guy.....got her today!!!...yea!!!!

question.....should I be able to pop the Pin out with my hand?......I did not think I was going to be able to break it down!!!!

does that get easier?......had to have to have something to pop that out and not be able to break it down without tools.

Thanks

I have now 831 documented rounds through my P380..
546 since last "issue"...
and I can tell you that I can push out the pin with no tools now...
I definitely could not at first but now it is a 'no tools required breakdown'

So do the prep... shoot it like you stole it and it will break in nicely...

the CM9 is on my 'tax refund' list

First make sure the magazine is out. The pin won't come out with the magazine in place.

Mine wasn't so easy at first either but now it comes out fine.
