So this morning my package from Kahr arrives on my front porch with my new Trijicon front sight, stainless steel guide rod and two extra magazines! I'm like a kid on Christmas morning!I immediately break down my CW9 and get to work. My front sight installs seamlessly! I mean no problem whatsoever with fit. My countersunk pinholes were already a perfect depth! After everything I've read about installing these I was ready to get busy with the dremel but nope. Not necessary. I checked and rechecked but its perfectly recessed. A dab o' locktight and in it went. On to the guide rod, of course it slips right in painlessly as is to be expected. Reassemble and my god what a difference! Smooth operator. No more crunchy abrasive sounds when racking the slide. Well worth the money IMO. That powder coat on the factory rod rubs off and mixes with the grease and made me a bit uneasy. So thats that. The two extra empty mags fit well and released smoothly.
So I decide to drop into my beloved LGS to see a man about a holster. Ive been reading reviews and testimonials and watching videos on youtube about the best holsters for a CW9 and so I had a pretty good idea what I was looking for. As it turned out, not a single holster in stock for a CW9 in leather, kydex, nylon, nothing. But on my way back to the counter I see a display full of these little beauties.....
Proudly manufactured in TEXAS!!! Figured all you TX Patriots would appreciate the plug!
Doesn't get much more slim than that I'd say for IWB carry. What do you all think? Anyone seen these yet? Am I the last on earth to know about these?

Just slide the barrel right onto the yellow peg and slide IWB. Over the belt clip. They didn't have any with a J-hook. But an over the belt clip isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me. Great little holster if I can even call it that. I love it so far. It takes a few on and offs to get a good fit inside the barrel. It made a few plastic shavings, so I slid it on and off a bunch until it stopped. A bit of grease over the peg helped a bit too.
Now on top of that, I go up to pay for the new holster and what do I see??? A huge pile of 9mm and .45 cal range ammo!!! 1 box per customer per day of each. They also had .45 Gold Dots HP so I added all three onto the tab! And did I mention they were all priced reasonably??? 21.99 for .45, 14.99 for 9mm, and 26.99 for the Gold Dot .45 HP's.
Made a call to my Father and he zipped right over and bought a box of each as well. But he doesn't own a .45. My Mother doesn't own any guns but I managed to persuade her into making a trip up there too.
Recap: A new front Trijicon sight and installation that couldn't have gone any easier, new stainless guide rod, two extra mags, awesome new IWB holster, 3 boxes of .45 cal, 2 boxes of 9mm, 1 box of Speer Gold Dot HP, and one hell of a HAPPY CAMPER!!!
Oh, and the rain just stopped and the sun just began to shine. (not kidding)
All in all I'd say its been one hell of a day!!! So, I think I'll go for a walk with my Lab and soak up a few rays along with a bit of fresh air. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket........
