I dont seem to be receiving my e-mail notifications. The box is check marked but the responses to my post are not getting thru on e-mail. Any advice?

nope. Just checked. The only way i knew about your post is looking at the thread I started and saw that someone actually posted back. all my boxes are checked to receive everything. I just unchecked them all and will start over to see what happens. Thanks for trying to help. It is disappointing because I really like this sight.

I'm not too bright on this computer stuff so I'm of little help. I did early on have post sent to my email and found it to be more of a pain than it was worth.
Since then I've found I care more about what people here say than what people send me emails about so I usually just check the site first and then check my email sometimes.
Truth be told my wife thinks I'm having a on line affair or something. Maybe I am?

Have you shutdown and restarted your web browser? I use an online email account instead of an independent program like Outlook, so maybe restarting your web browser will get the mojo flowing. Other than that, I'm out of suggestions.

Like Bawanna45cal said, I started out with notification's on, but even with the little posting that I do, I quickly turned it off.

Side note: I just noticed I joined two months after our fearless moderator and I only have 1/100th of the number of posts he does. That's sad in several different ways.

same thing happened to me I guess. i just reset my instant e-mail notification. For some reason it changed because I was getting them. It should work fine now. Thanks. If you answer this thread I sholud reveive the e-mail now.

I think that I've been relatively chatty lately. I'm sure that has everything to do with being temporarily unemployed and sitting in front of my computer most of the day in the hopes to save money. Once I start working again though (any day now), the opinion factory will probably clamp down again.

I really wanted to be a motorcycle cop but I'm forced to sit in front of a computer all day and fantasize. It's easy to go back and forth between work and kahrtalk which explains why I'm here so much. I tell them it's multi tasking. Office pukes love that word.

I'm really a do one thing at a time, do it very well and move on kind of guy but I'm surrounded by co workers who insist on walking and chewing gum at the same time. They trip alot.
