What IWB holster are you guys using for CW guns and what position do you wear. I am looking at all options for my CW45.
Also need CT laser compatable.
Climate is hot so concealment in light clothes is a prority.

Thanks
Dobie

I have used a Crossbreed Super Tuck, and from Com-Tac a CTAC holster. I am looking at their Infidel model. Both companies make great holsters. Check them out.

This is not a lot to go on but along with an OWB JIT I've been trying a Don Hume 715 (IWB) for the past we with my CW9. Other than the fact that the gun's a little thicker than I'm used to it feels pretty decent in this holster. This is also an inexpensive holster--$25 from KahrShop.

I'm finding that just a little past 3 o'clock (3:30??) is working well. I can sit at my desk comfortably, nothing is digging into me, and it conceals pretty well. The back of the grip prints a little bit but I don't want to move it forward or carry in the small of my back.

It stays put fairly well but still allows for a little bit of movement so you can adjust the cant slightly forward and have it stay. I'm sure this will depend on how tight your pants are though :)

I have a couple pair of pants that are a little loose in the waist and the holster works well with those. For my regular fitting pants I will need to go up an inch in waist size to make them comfortable.

But like I said. I've only had the holster for a week.

The reinforced portion of the holster sits just above your waistline so the extra thickness is not a problem. The clip is very secure but still not too difficult to clip on and off.

like JWR, I also carry my CW9 in a Don Hume 715 IWB. Been using it for about 3 years (pics on another thread somewhere with a KT PF9 in it). For OWB I have a narrow Bianchi .... don't remember the model. I have several other holsters, some made by a local leather worker, for my other carry guns.

I do like the Hume 715 for the CW9...mine was actually made for a compact 1911, and my Kimber rides in it well too, but I have other holsters for it.

I have been really happy with the MTAC modified as shown. PM9 shown but I think they make this for the CW also.

Standard MTAC holster, about 3:30-4:00. I have it set up for a high ride position with a slight amount of forward cant.

I think one of the big advantage that the MTAC style holster has is the ability to control how high it rides. I know if I move this 715 around just forward of my hip the bottom of the barrel will dig into me when i sit down. Just moving it up an inch would fix that.

The 715 is fine for now and is working very well but at some point I might have to cough up some more money and get that MTAC.

Gimmie a few days and you'll see how used mine is - it's slated for an in depth review along with the belt soon ;)

Crossbreed Super Tuck for my CW9 worn at about the 4:00 position. Cant is forward, rear clip is in lowest position, front clip in the 2nd highest.

Very comfortable to wear.

I am currently using a mtac for my CW45. I have tried the supertuck and it is not as comfortable IMHO as the mtac. I have also ordered a dual carry from DM Bullard, but it will not be here until March or April.

Don Hume has the 715 IWB, black for the P45 (I'm betting It'll fit the PM45, CW45, and several others) on sale for $20.00 on their website if anyone's interested.
I ordered one just for the heck of it, at that price.
Good looking rig.

I finally got around to updating my CW9 file folder since I got the tritium sights returned on my slide a couple of days ago. Here's the CW9 in an old Don Hume 715 (Model 10 for 3-1'2" Barrel). There are various models of the 715, if I'm not mistaken, and the one I have here was originally made for a compact 1911 (my Kimber Compact fits is perfectly). I actually picked it out of the used holster bin several years ago when I bought a KT PF9. Lucky me, it's been very versatile for my carry needs.

Hello, new to this forum, but have been a ccw person for a long time. I have a CW-9. I have carried it in a Don Hume w/clip. Too straight up and down for me. Mag would print at times. I started making my own leather IWB holsters about a year ago. I am not selling them to the public-at lease not untill I retire. Anyway. I have found that if I angle the holster at about 20-22 degrees the gun is undetectable, and still draws good. I make the holsters with outrigger straps, so it can be removed without unbuckling my pants. The holster is shaped like an "Y". A simple button up shirt with straight tail is perfect, even in light color. I wear the holster at 3:30 position, RT side. There are holsters out there to purchase from custom makers. Expect to pay $100 or more. I don't think anyone would be dissapointed with this type of holster. The good thing is you can wear all day, at least I can. I will try to post a photo as soon as I can figure out what to do.
