I've got a PM4044 with diamond black slide. Anyone else have one? I'm curious about the tapered muzzle end. I don't see this on the Kahr site.

It looks quite similiar to the treatment on the CW series. Makes reholstering a lot easier.

Exactly, looks like a CW. I have never seen a PM like this before though. Anyone else have a PM that looks like this?

I have the latest brochure and the PM4044muzzle area is pretty much square. The only PM like this one is the PM45.
The new brochure is nice -- pdf at Kahr Arms / Online Resources (http://www.kahr.com/OR-1C.html).

Very interesting. It is certainly a nice way to finish the slide.

There's a Stainless PM40 on Gunbroker right now with the beveled slide. I see no rhyme nor reason for the seemingly random samples out there.

Where did you go to look up the production date of your gun? I just picked a used gun and I'm interested in the age.

I found mine by looking at the envelope spent casing was in. It's printed on envelope. There is also a serial number list here (http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268364). Find one close to yours and you'll have a general idea.

I didn't get an envelope with a spent casing

After embarrassing myself trying to take my PM9 apart, I took the manual out of its niche and there was an envelope with the spent casing and the date of the test firing on the envelope. Behind the Manual.:o

So, what did we ever figure out on this one? I saw two new ones at the local gun shop and both had square muzzles. My BIL just bought one in another shop and it was beveled. Nothing on the box seems to denote a difference.
