so i went to the local gun show today and bought an eagle 2230 30 round mag for my ruger 1022.. i also bought a tapco stock, changed it out without a hitch.. went to the range to test my new stock and 30 rounder.. needless to say the eagle international was awful. never had 1 ftf or fte with over 600 rounds with my 10 round rotary. doubt the guy at the expo will refund my money,, out of maybe 60 rounds through it i prob had 10to 15 ftf,fte and plenty of stove pipes,, anyway any ideas on this mag? will it break in and cycle properly or did i just waste my cash... thanks and sorry f:53:or the novel. lol

Not familiar with it but does it have steel lips?

I have Ram-Line 30 and 50 round mags and never had a problem. If the guy you bought it from won't swap it out or give you a refund, you will probably have to contact the manufacturer and see about a refund or swapping out mags if you can't get it to work. It may break in and feed right if you keep messing with it, but I kind of doubt it.

I have 2 Ruger BX-25 mags for my 10/22 and they have been flawless. I've had experience with Butler Creek, but never Eagle. A lot of those non-factory mags, especially ones with plastic lips, are very unreliable. Not sure what you paid, but I can buy the Ruger mags for $28 all day.

Thanks tinman And parabellumj.. The eagle had plastic lips, but they exchanged it for a pro mag that has steel lips, I paid 19$ for the eagle and had to pay 10$ more for the pro mag so $29.. Will take it to the range tomorrow and hopefully it will preform better.. I'm just glad the dealer worked with me.. Should have done a little more research... Live and learn
