Went outside and ran it a while ago. Ran all the 185 gr. fmj flat nosed stuff I put in it. I don't think it likes 230 gr. XTP though. Had to bump the slide into battery for several rounds. I don't judge the pistol on that, I have few handguns that like everything. What JHP rounds have you had good luck with? I want to keep the trail and error cost to a minimum. It sure does shoot nice, and it is small and light. I think it will be a pleasure to carry. And where did the recoil go? I thought it would buck harder than that. It isn't any more roudy than my EMP 9 with the 185 gr. plinking stuff.

Mine is almost as new as yours and it ran 230gr FMJ and JHP right from the start. The JHP - which is now in the CW45 as my EDC load - is Winchester White Box 230gr.

polish the feed ramp with some flitz and get it even smoother, then continue with fmj ammo for a few hundred rounds and my bet is it will eat those 230 xtp rounds like candy. sometimes just takes a few more rounds down range to smooth out ur kahr, bumping the slide vold be ammo related but also could just be more rounds needed to smooth things out. kahrs are really not ammo sensitive but if what I am telling u does not work out, then move on to another defense round and if it doe sthe job for u, just stick with it.

The XTP's are just what I had. Chambering them before I ever shot it, They were hard to eject. It took a good tug to get them to come out. I only shot 3 mags of fmj and one of the XTP, witch 3 of them didn,t quite go into battery. I had an XD 45 that did the same and smoothed out later. But this gun has a LOT nicer feel and trigger pull, longer but smoother. I came from a 1911 and they can be finicky too. I think this gun will slow me down a little, witch I need to do. I started wondering if for defense I really wanted a gun that will go off almost with no travel. A little too fast. I was just wondering if there was any ammo that the kahr didn't like. It sounds like they will feed it all from what others are saying. I'll run a few hundred thru it this weekend and see how she does, thanks jocko.
