I emaile dthis to a buddy log gun shooter friend of mine and he told me he had seen it before and was told by others it was a fake...Think about the hpoto, no one cam rushing up to him after the event happened and not a word was said by anyone even. I tend now to think it was a set up but again what a dumb ass thing to put on video.

The only real hangfires I ever had were with a shotgun. I kept the barrel pointed down range and it fired safely. When the gun doesn't go BANG, I always treat it as if it's going to and keep it pointed safely down range. After a bit, I'll try re-c0cking and firing the round again. I overhand rack the slide on the Kahrs just enough to reset the striker, staying clear of the rear of the slide... and the ports on the P40. My son had a dud with the P40 and put his hand over the ports when racking. I had told him not to do that and was a little upset with him. You just don't know when you might get a delayed firing.

Anyhow, why would you look down the danged barrel?? I might do that if I had a bore light stuck in the chamber... but not after "No BANG!":eek:

It appears the camera is on a tripod and he is there alone.

It has been around a while. When he is looking down the barrel and the weapon discharges look how the gun flexes and moves the end of the barrel outward away from his head.

There are many people who are alive today by even smaller margins than this guy.

I had a hangfire once with some russian 7.62x39 ammo, and I waited about 30 seconds, then went to eject the cartridge and it went off. Glad I kept it pointed in a safe direction.
