Anybody have one?

Want to replace the broken at the grip stock from the gun that I got from my Dad.

This the right one? Boyds doesn't show any finished or unfinished.

Not sure if it is exact. The 989 m2 has an upper wood hand guard and barrel band on the front of the stock. My hand guard and barrel band are OK but looking at the stock, none show the cut for the barrel band. I've got to talk with them on Monday.

Did not have any luck with Boyds or AIM (think modifying the gun to look like a more modern rifle).

Thanks

The parts schematic shows an upper hand guard and a front barrel band, kind of M1 Carbine looking. The hand guard is a separate number.

Sounds like the right one with your additional information.

Yea, but......when I click on the information regarding the stocks, it says for new models. I found out that I have the old model trigger group!

I'm going to send them an email. Maybe I can use the new model stock and just do some carving on it.

Or find an M1 carbine stock and see if I can do some kind of Frankenstein fitment. Saw somewhere that someone did this with a Marlin 795 22.

Gun show going on today and tomorrow. May go tomorrow with my old stock and see how different they are.

Also, try marlinowners.com , someone there should be able to help you.

I actually bought a M989 a few years ago... very fun rifle and I really like the looks compared to the run-of-the-mill 10/22's

Thanks for the additional information jeepster and charlie. Been at rolling over in a helicopter training for the last couple of days and did not have time to catch this earlier.
