I’m new to this forum and to Kahr. I just purchased a new MK9 ‘03 Elite on Friday. I am looking to buy some extra mags. I’ve had no problem locating the 6-round flush-fitting mag, but so far I cannot locate another of the 7-round mags that came with my pistol (first photo below).
The only 7-round 9mm mag listed on the Kahr website (or that I can find available elsewhere) is Kahr part number MK720 (second photo), which has a different base design than the 7-round mag that came with my pistol. Can anyone tell me the part number and/or a source for a 7-round mag like the one that came with my pistol (as I prefer this base design)? Thanks.

Thanks, I saw the MK820 mags, but the still don't have the same base design as the one I have. I guess I'll e-mail Kahr on Monday and see what they say.

Welcome to the forums.
The first photo shows the current style of base plate for the extended magazines. The second shows the older (and I think discontinued) style of extended magazine base plate. Unfortunately, there is no way of telling them apart by magazine part number. I suggest you contact whatever merchant you decide to purchase from and ask that they verify what style base plate is on the magazine. FWIW, the new style has been out for a couple of years now, so they chances are good that it's what you'll receive, but that's not to say that the old style isn't still in the system or on stock shelves somewhere.

The photo on this page...

shows the MK-720 with an extension like yours.
I wonder if they made a change?

Greg:
Thank you. So if I understand correctly, what I have is the current version of the MK720 magazine. I guess Kahr and some other vendors (like Midway) just have not updated the photo of this mag on their websites and still have a photo of MK720 with the old base design.

Yes, that is correct; you have the current version of the magazine. As for the website photos, I believe you are correct about them not being up to date, but that doesn't preclude the chance that some vendors may still have the old style on hand.
