Just wanted to check in and say hi to everyone. Purchased a CM9 last week. I fired 125 rounds last week and again this morning. Had 1 fail to feed. I may not have loaded the mag correctly. That happened after about 90 rounds.
Only problem I have is a couple of small nicks on the recoil spring guide assembly. Noticed it after the first time out. Wiped it down put a little oil on it and when I looked at it today it had another small notch in it. When I get enough posts I,ll try to put up some pictures.

Welcome aboard ClickClick and congrats on the CM9! I have a CW9 and the slide beats up the guide rod, but it is normal. Here is a post that shows what just a hundred or so rounds can do. http://kahrtalk.com/showpost.php?p=204446
Is that kind of what's happening to your CM9? If so, this is ok/normal wear.

Thanks for the welcome. LorenzoB actually it,s a nick on the guide assembly two of them now. I think the barrel is just touching it when the slide racks can,t figure it out yet. Doesn,t look like normal wear. If I was to take my gun apart after a 100 rounds turn the guide a little put it back together shoot a 100 more I could make a perfect circle around the rod. Anyway thanks for the response. I,m sure we,ll get figured out.

I know the CM is different from the CW, but I can't totally picture what you are saying. The barrel should not hit the rod. The hole in the slide constantly smacks the rod, and it would cut or notch a perfect circle in the guide rod if you turned the rod a little after each shot. It would help if you can show us, but you can't post photos on the KahrTalk server until you have 30 posts, so you could use Flickr, Photobucket, or something similar. There are others here who are very helpful and more knowledgeable than I am when it comes to issues like this. A good photo will bring them out of the woodwork!

Well I think I figured out what is causing the marks on my recoil spring guide.. When the slide locks back on the last round the recoil spring guide comes out the front of the slide and and is forced to bump into the front of the spring guide hole. Hope you can view these pictures. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on there gun???????? http://s1323.beta.photobucket.com/user/Michelobe46/media/Special032_zps121e9bb4.mp4.html?sort=3&o=2

Well I have about 500 rounds through my new CM9. Had it to the range 4 times. I,ve had 2 failures to feed. I have 4 nicks in my recoil spring guide. I realize there is a lot of pressure put on the rod. Are these marks normal from use??? I think the nicks are coming from the front of the slide hole. Thank You everyone for being so helpful!!
