Figured I'd stop in and say hi to everyone

I'm pretty much a glock guy (own 4) but living in Florida led me on the search for a smaller carry gun than my 27.somedays I just want to wear basketball shorts lol.

Did alittle lookin around and had kinda settled on a pocket .380 like a lcp or a bodyguard and then realized if I'm only going to have 6 rounds of something I'll atleast make them big.I always liked the kahrs but never wanted to fork out the money for one as a ccw.I walked into a local gun store friday night and after alittle looking around I saw a kahr sitting on the wall labeled .45 listed at 459$.I asked to see it thinking it was a cw45 and when he handed it to me I noticed it was a pm45.After about 3 seconds of looking at it I purchased it as fast as I could figuring they had the price mislabeled lol

Took it out and shot 250 rounds with no issues so far.not bad on recoil for being a small gun.

Welcome aboard. It's always nice to read a good range report. Keep shootin'; it gets better with age.

In the words of the wise one, "shoot it like you stole it"....which you sorta did.

Welcome to the forum! I'm in NE FL... JAX. We wanted to be near the Navy facilities and all of the waterways!

That looks like a great buy. I got one almost 3 years ago. I've had a few problems... more than a few, but it was my dream to own the compact powerful little .45... and it is that! I usually carry it with Speer 230-gr Gold Dot Short Barrel HPs. I more often carry the Mag-na-ported P40 during the day and the PM45 at night because I have Night Sights on it. The P40 is still waiting for an upgrade.

I recently went over to the Dark Side a bit and got a G23C... fantastic shooter! But it's not for carry in my shorts! I go to pick up my wife's new G19 tomorrow and I have some Trijicon HD NS Orange Outlined Front Sight sights coming in shortly, along with the sight installation tool from the GlockStore... if they ever send it! I want my wife to see whether she wants the Orange or the Yellow front outlined sights. I have the yellow on my XD45. I bought at least 10 more factory mags per pistol so we'll have plenty!

Here's some info you may or not need:

Welcome to the Kahrtalk forum supported by Kahr Arms.
Here are a few essential links and things to do BEFORE you take your new pistol to the range, and ESPECIALLY BEFORE taking it apart and trying to re-assemble it! The Kahr is a different design… 6-7 unique patents cover the Kahrs. I’m not trying to imply that you don’t know anything about guns, but many don’t know anything about the Kahrs and some of the things you can do to damage or cause malfunctions of your new, or new-to-you Kahr pistol.
First, if you don’t have a manual, yet, or one didn’t come with your pistol, you can download the pdf file here:
http://www.kahr.com/PDF/kahrmanual.pdf
Impatient? Watch one of these videos FIRST! These videos can point out possible problem areas and emphasize correct procedures!

There are many links on fixing problems listed in several places… under the New Member or Kahr Tech sub-forums.
A very handy one is the Kahr Lube Diagram:

Many of your questions can be answered in these areas and you can learn how your Kahr works and not damage it with improper handling.
Frequently asked questions: http://www.kahr.com/faq.asp?

There are many helpful members here most of the time who might be able to help you, but as anywhere, there are many opinions and not all are correct. Be mindful of this before doing anything drastic to modify your pistol!
