I know Ruger wheel guns are great. What I don't know is how the "New Model" stacks up.
Found one I've been waiting to show up for some time. .41 mag, blued, wood grips, used with some holster wear. It will be a shooter, no doubt, not a safe queen. Not looking to turn a profit, just looking for a straight shooter, plain and simple.
Don't know the year of conception nor what years are preferable. I'm comfortable with the price and ready to bite the bullet.
I'm not on a Ruger forum but hoping to find some knowledgeable folks on here that know their Rugers. 7" barrel that works for me, if that helps. A little bit of lead build up in the barrel that should clean up no problem. Cylinder is clean, considering the lead in the barrel. Blueing around 95% with the minor holster wear with one minor rough spot near the end of the barrel on the right hand side.
This will be used as a side arm in bear country out west, whether hunting or hiking or fishing. As in grizzly country. Haven't figured out what round yet but I'll get there.
