I've found that my CW380 has become my principle carry gun and had wished that I had got the slightly larger CT380 instead. Today, on the way out of the show I noticed a Kahr laying on a table and checked out price tag which read $248 + tax. Looked new, but dealer said it was used. I field stripped it and it had a little residue showing that it had been fired so I took the chance and bought it. Got home, did a cursory clean and grease, but fully expected to have a few glitches. However, I ran a batch of reloaded 100 gr flat points and then a box of Hornady XTP's thru it with ZERO hiccups. Couldn't be happier. After I put some more thru to be satisfied with its performance, it will become my new carry gun. It will also get a mild fluff and buff with particular attention to the striker.

Then, I'll put the CW up for sale. When I got it I gave it the Jocko full treatment and it too has been flawless. Wouldn't you know that only this week I put a Dawson fibre optic on the CW, as I had done with the CW9, and it really improved my accuracy by being able to clearly see the front sight. Will now order one for the CT. :D

Wow that's a great price! For the CT380! What Dawson front did you go with on your CW9? I've been looking into one or the Crimson Trace

yah, just a tad

I guess its a toss up, but I'd go 9 over 380 and not worry about the extra shot

Then again, I carry a PM45!

I saw just one CT380 in person and it was impressively thin. I wouldn't mind having one. Then again, I often carry a CM45 ;)

If I'm gonna tote a 9mm, it'll be the CW9.

Carry the CT380 about 90% of the time (warm weather & shorts here), the other 10% (cool winter & jacket) it's the CW45.

Gifted my PM9 to my oldest son several years ago.

My PMJ9 slide is at kahr as we speek, getting fiber optics on it. I put a set of Dawson fiber optics on my new G43 and truly love them. I hope to feel good when my PMJ9 gets back with the site change..

dumb me, I did not realize the ct30 was actualy bigger than a PM9, lighter by 2 ounces but still bigger. my question would be, why own a 380 that is bigger than a 9mm of the same brand. Just sayin

Well Jocko - General Patton shot at a German fighter plane with a Remington Model 51 .380.

Just..... you know....

The CT380 is thinner than the PM9. It now has the Dawson fiber front sight also. For those who want to put one on, its really easy. BTW, the CT380 has the same size front sight pins as the CW9, whereas the pins on the CW380 are closer together. This wasn't clear on the Dawson web page and I ordered the CW380 sight to find it did not fit.
Of course the Dawson folks quickly replaced it and hopefully have since corrected their web page.

The only reason to carry a 380 (which I often do) instead of a 9mm is size & weight.

From the Kahr website:

Length
Height
Width
Weight (oz.)

PM/CM9
5.42"
4.0"
0.90"
14.00

P/CW380
4.9"
3.9"
0.75"
9.97 - 10.2

CT380
5.52"
4.4"
0.75"
11.44

If size / weight is an issue (as during the summer in Atlanta when the uniform of the day is shorts and shirt), I will carry my P380.

If my clothing allows something a little larger, I will carry my CM9, NOT a CT380 which is longer / taller and considerably less powerful.

Just my opinion, YMMV.

Is the Ct380 any easier to rack the slide then the cw380?

About the same....I can't tell any difference.

For the same reason that some men climb Mt. Everest, because it's there. The CT380 is thinner lighter and offers a full length grip.

That's why I like it. Besides, my Grandpaw felt safe carrying his Colt 1903 .32ACP during the Great Depression, and gave it to my Dad to tote around when he went over for the Battle of the Bulge right after I was born.
I don't feel under gunned with a .380 in good weather.
