Just picked this used version up today. Came with 3 mags and CT lasergrips , box and manual. Just the way I would have set it up and a duplicate of my K9 setup. Paid 550 out the door at local pawnshop . Looks like it has had the front sight changed to Trijicon. Hope to shoot it this weekend. Did I do good?

Niiice score. There are some guns you just want to make sure your sons inherit when you leave this place. The MK9 is definitely one of them.

GC0980 any idea when it was made?

I can only tell you it is not one of the earliest pistols with the thicker grips. It looks great and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I found the old Glock Talk thread and it doesn't list anything closer than 1998 then I think the next is 2002. So I'm in that time frame I guess. If I want to change to Wolf Guide rod and recoil spring what would you guys suggest. Something doesn't feel right about this RSA , doesn't want to compress sometimes when I am installing it . When I finally get it on , everything is good. Don't remember having any issues with my K9 or T9.

I ordered spring and guide rod kit from Wolff for it, looks like 20.5# is the standard spring. Tested trigger pull on my Lyman gauge and the trigger broke at 5 lbs 13 oz average. Feels good!

Great deal. I picked up a new one (my 4th Kahr) at a Gun show last Saturday for $500 out the door (no laser). It shoots get and has become my EDC.

I emailed Kahr's customer service re: the build date and they responded the same day.. They were quick and helpful and can also tell you if there are any updates Mine was GC 98XX and was built in late 2012

I went for a quick range trip with the MK9 today. Shot 50 rounds with no problems. Well except my laser quit working and looks like that one LG461 has been discontinued. What a bummer, I emailed CT to see if they can repair this one or replace it. Don't know what my options are but I sure did like that laser. I did a thorough cleaning with brake cleaner. This gun was used and was very nasty. A lot of crude came out of the slide when I blasted the brake cleaner into the slide. After some scrubbing and inspection and then re lube she looks as good as new. Pleased with the purchase, now if I can find a laser solution.....

Yeah, I finished the day with the iron sights, but it sure is getting harder and harder to see them. Hehe.

I need glasses to see the sights, so the target is a bit blurry. Getting older.

I have the same setup and love it.....Crimson Trace last year send me a new one when mine ( that was bought used) stopped working....the company was super. BTW there is a small switch on the bottom of the grip for the laser.
enjoy it!

Nice score! I've contemplated the lasergrips, but I'm not sure I can part with my wood grips. A lot of fun to shoot regardless.

GC0980 any idea when it was made?

Just email Kahr customer service and ask the manufacture date. They (Jay) will reply within a couple of hours

Sent my laser grips back to CT and they fixed them and sent them back to me. Just got them today. Replaced a diode or something like that. Works like a charm. No charge which I was surprised about, since I bought the MK used. Good customer service.

My eyes are old too. Dawson Precision fiber optics! Happily laid away an MK9 to match my PM9 for $385 out the door. Can't wait to pay it off in two weeks. ;)
