I hate them. They are just to hard to load. Getting rounds 2 thru 6 is just damn near impossible for me. I have 4 factory magazines all at least 5 years old. The down pressure to load is just insane. I understand you want to keep a round at the top so it can be stripped off. But these are way too hard. I was going to use the k-40 in my defence class. No way could I reload 200 rounds over the course of the night.
I have two sigs a p-226 and a P-229 and these are are a pleasure to reload. One is a 9mm the other 40. I can stuff 15 rounds in to the either with no problems.

Anyone ever try to adjust the spring tension or remove one ring?

My .45, six round mags. are tough to get the last round into as well.

These Khars are such short stroke guns, I guess a strong mag. spring is necessary to get the next round up there.
It is hard on the thumb though.

I have the CW40 Kahr and recently bought The UpLula Universal Pistol Magazine Loader from Midwayusa.com. It cost $24 on sale until Oct 31. It is a little awkward at first but definatly better than loading many rounds by hand. Loads all 9mm .357, 10mm, .40, and .45 cal.

The uplula takes a little "knack" to work. You may want to try the HKS Magazine Loader which is on the Kahr site. Both beat trying to use your fingers to load a magazine.
