Well I'll start the first thread. I own a K-40 SS since 4/01/2002. It is my daily carry. I have worn out one holster and I received a new Kahr just the other day its a left hand inside the waist band clip on Mitchrosen very good holster.

I also own a K40 with a matte stainless finish. I bought mine in 06 and it has been my daily carry gun. I absolutely love this pistole. I have only had one issue with it, it would lock open randomly while shooting, found out it had a weak slide stop spring. I replaced the spring and it has been running well ever since. I use a Don Hume IWB holster, I am very pleased with it. Conceals well and is very inexpensive.

I've had my K40 since 1996. Great gun! The only failure I've ever had was a few months after I bought it when I reassembled it with the recoil spring backwards. I shipped it to Kahr, and they fixed it free of charge and even paid the return shipping! Since then, over 10,000 trouble free rounds down the pipe. Great handgun!

I have mine on June 15, I shoot over 1,000 round, no problem at all, Its my daily CCW, but the grip screw getting rusty, call Kahr customer service, they send me a set, But I lived in Vegas, weather get hot in summer, So I get Hex SS screw for my K40, I have to wipe it down the grip every time If I swear alots, I thought stainess steel will not rust, beside that, I can said I can trust my life with it.

I have a k40 ss and carry it as a backup weapon in a hidden difference inside the pants holster(now pager pal). It's a great weapon and with this holster conceals very well ,even with shirt tucked in pants!!. If i carry in an outside holster i use the Fobus paddle. It's easy on and off.great weapon.

I have a K40 I bought used; but in great shape. I also bought a K40 Covert...nice as well just not as much to hold on to.
I have put 100's rounds down range without even one issue to date.

I have owned my k40 ss since 1997 bought it new never a problem with i love it. Just traded my para ordinance p10 45 for the kahr p45. The para was too heavy at 33oz and grip too small for a quick draw.love the kahr products.

Nice pix! I love Kahrs but the K series is perfection for looks and feel. I have an early K9 n/s and it just looks and feels perfect, though I'm envious of the all-black finish. I would really like to have the P380N with that finish... the magazine baseplates as well. My dream gun is the PM45N with blackened slide. Practically, though, the P380N will be my main carry unless I'm headed into the woods.:D I wear shorts, tees, and polos most of the year here in Florida.

It IS a nice pistol, one of my favorites as well. Right now I'm waiting to hear back from Trijicon for relamping it.

Wish they made a K45, I would probably have to buy that one.

I'll put you on the list. That would be a keeper.

My magna ported K40 is resting comfortably most of the time in my toy box. I take it out now and then to show it love or build some grips on it. The PM45 has taken its place in the daily carry routine. I guess I got two ankles, (cosmetic only) could put it back in the line up I suppose.

Nice pistol and holster. I have the K9 and really like it.

It's interesting Kahr does not make a K45 or a Mk45. If you want a Kahr .45, you must go with polymer.

Now that I had shot around 1000 rounds through my K9, I concur with every body here that K9 is one of the best pistols around. I like it better than my trusty ASP pistol. I put a Limbsaver grip on my K9 to help my thumb from being slammed during recoil. Besides protecting my thumb, it helps with the recoil and fill my hand nicely. I like so much that I decide to order one for my ASP. Next, I will have my K9 melted and S-Teflon coated by Bearcoat. Installation of a XS big dot front sight should be all the modifications I would like to perform on my K9.

I havent got mine k40 black yet but handled one today at a gun shop and man I have to sell something to get mine off layway .That gun felt way better in hand than my cw40 and if it shoots as good with lighter striker spring heavier recoil spring and polished strike assembly as my cw40 does it will be my favorite gun.

u can't help but love the K9 or K40. Not sure there is a more beautiful looking gun out there either. It is kahrs bread and butter gun, it is what made Kahr Kahr. No doubt it has now taken the back seat to the kahr poly's but if u want steel, look no further than Kahr.

I am thinking of doing some custom work on my K9 that I hardly shoot but love it no less. Will see what accurate Iron has to report back to me on some questions I ask of him..

My MK40 Elite has what appears to be a near match trigger.
Better than my Sigs. Better than everything I've shot. Sans a 1911 race run and my cherished M629 Mountain Revolver (with an over-travel adjustment and action job). With the Lothar Walther match barrel, polished feed ramp, beveled mag well and night sights coming from the factory - I can't help but wonder what custom work your contemplating?
Share your thoughts old wise one - LOL!

My K40, which I've had for about 2 years, is my favorite carry gun. I put the smooth wood grips on it and carry it in a Don Hume 721OT.
