I went to the gun show picked up a RIA Compact. My wife is out of town until Tuesday, so I might need a new place to live on Tuesday. If anyone has a room available, it would be appreciated. :D

All joking aside, I really like my new toy. I finally get to go to the range tomorrow and I plan on putting a couple hundred rounds downrange. I will provide a range report when I get back.

I got a spare bedroom here in Atlanta, and I bet our weather is better too - about 80 and sunny today.

I pulled the trigger on a new STI last night to replace the SA Ultra Compact, but so far, my cat hasn't complained.

Nice, I thought you were set on a Defender but STI is very nice.

Sure glad it didn't upset the cat.

I was pretty set on the Defender or Night Defender, but when I handled a Defender, it was obvious that the Hogue grips had to go. I got the STI Escort for about the same price as the Defenders [with new grips], and It seems to be a better gun. It's certainly better looking. The Escort is 1/4 inch longer, but the same light weight. The only problem is that I have to wait 2 weeks for shipping.

Thats a fine looking pistol. I just love the two tone look. Skeletonized triggers and hammers blow my dress up too.

2 Weeks though! Thats cruel and unusual punishment and I want to go beat somebody up to relieve my frustration.
