Not super cheap, but as decent as I have seen 45 in a while. $16/50

Same price as Wally's when they got 'em. Dunno if tax and shipping equal out

Was able to get a crate of Aguila 45s recently... $12.49 a box, brass, boxer primed 230fmj's. They have lacquered primers, should be ok for long term storage.

If you can find tax-free deals like those prices at Cabela's AND one of their free shipping or discount coupons, that's the way to save money.

Cabela's has $20 coupons or free shipping for minimum purchases almost monthly. Those kind of deals are great for buying half a case or so at a decent price.

I still check every Wally-World and buy WW100 at $32.97 a hundred for 230-gr FMJ every chance I get. Their next best deal is the Federal at $16.97 a box of 50. I don't even consider the Tula steel-cased stuff.

I need to go shoot my Champion 4" again because I wanted to adjust the sights and my hex wrenches wouldn't fit the set screw. I used some Presto Green penetrating thread locker and it must have gotten in the danged hole so the wrench can't.:(

Swampman told me about Taurus' new carbines... which includes a .45. They have those God-awful work-around stocks, but maybe they'll import parts and assemble a better looking weapon. They are having some problems, though:

It's pretty bad when the SMG won't fire when the trigger is pulled (by the Brazilian cops) or they go full-auto... without the trigger being pulled!
