I haven't seen anything from Bird in a while either. Bird's the Word.

I don't remember if I ever posted these before
The PM9 is my wife's. The slide is a burgundy color. The color doesn't show very well
The K9 is mine. I don't remember what the black color is called
These were done well over 10 years ago

Are those done in cerakote? Or something else? I like the K9. Did you have the front strap checkered yourself?

If memory serves me correctly JG did that front strap himself. I had no luck getting him to do mine. Hope JG checks back in to see if I need to schedule my Ahlzeimers test again.

From what I can he did a fine job on it. I'll bet it makes a world of difference in how the gun feels in hand.

Always wanted to checker metal. Actually heard it's easier than wood but guess I'm scared or something. Grips I can toss in the fireplace if I mess up. Pistol frames not so much.
I still might give it a go sometime.

I bet you could pull it off. From the vids I’ve watched, seems pretty straight forward with the proper tools.

I'd like to have my front strap checkered. Maybe someday, but for now skateboard tape works very well for a more secure grip.
