I’m really liking the New Republic 380. In several of my pistols Fiocchi FMJ prints low at 6 yards. I thought it was me until I loaded up a mag of New Republic and was right on target.

muggsy: Let's face it, being shot by a .380 will ruin anyone's day.
Fiocchi seems to have gone down hill. I shot a box the other day and noticed what looked like a 380 in the 9mm box. Turned out it was a 9mm round that had not been crimped. It was sitting low in the shell casing. I like shooting the Blackhawk. But have not shot it much as 357 was too expensive and not much of a supply. I also love shooting this gun in 357 because the recoil is Pleasant and enjoyable. But in the Past most American loads just too weak for enjoyment. Might as well shoot the 9mm.
The New Republic is hotter and gives the 357 in that gun the power you feel you need. You can feel the recoil, BUT a good pleasant feeling with that recoil. Just a side note. I think the Blackhawk is under rated for certain animal charges. The 357 in this gun is actually IMO very quick to target and very accurate along with faster firing than most people think. Regardless, I can see it will get more action in the near future. Just a fun day shooting it. Today, I will be shooting the LCR9mm and the Smith 642. This weekend our 380 group will be going to the club for a lot of shooting with the Pocket guns. I have some New Republic 380 that just came in. The best 380 round I have ever shot is the PrecisionONE for range time and their PlusP for defense. We will see how the New Republic stacks up. However the New Republic already has a edge in the COST factor.
Found a old Pic with my LCP 2 gen. Have not shot it in a long time, will be it out this weekend.

The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Yep, I do not think that color was very popular. It was also one I experimented with doing my own stippling. The Pico is a great gun, but to slick for my likes. I like the color regardless. Same with my APX carry. One thing about these guns, is that you can switch grip colors easily. I Just bought a new Black grip to put on one of my three Pico's. I am going to polish it up and put it into the safe. These guns have been discontinued. Hard to find one now. A few go on gun Broker for around $500.00. I also had the foresight to purchase every part of the gun to fix it on my own if every necessary.
Lol, obviously I like the color as my latest purchase of the Apx A1 Carry is the same.

Same color as the one I just picked up. Just shot another 100 rds. That makes about 270 so far. Trouble free. Still bonding. I do like the color a lot. May get a grey frame in the future.
I had the chance to get one of those baby blue pico’s at a gun show for $265 one time but passed it up. Couldn’t quite warm up to that one at the time.

Back to the range with Max and the results were not so good. I still fire faster and more accurately, at least when I’m not having light strikes. Had light strikes with three brands of ammo so clearly unacceptable.
I left the flat faced short stroke trigger in but have switched the hammer, firing pin and trigger return springs back to stock. Disappointed. I’m still hoping that just having the flat faced trigger will eliminate the bite/banging of my trigger finger.
