    Default Serial Numbers...

When Kahr Arms first took over building Auto Ordnance 1927-A1's...what was the first serial numbers used? Did they start with KA-xxxx, or did they start with AA-xxxx?
I won serial # KA-0002. I believe I have the second Auto Ordnance 1927-A1 they produced?
Also, what date did they start producing the 1927's?
Thanks for any help you may have to offer...

I can't help but I'm interested in the answers myself. An email to Kahr customer service might be the best way to get an good answer. That would be neat if you got number 2. I would assume somebody important in house got number 1.

    Thanks, Bawanna.
I tried my quarry to Kahr Customer service last month...still have not heard back from them. This was before I became a registered user here...not sure if that's an issue or not.
I think when Kahr took over producing the 1927-A1's they started with the KAxxxx serial numbers. To date, I have never seen a Kahr Arms 1927-A1, M1A or Kahr produced Tommy Gun with a serial number starting before KA? I'm pretty happy I got serial # KA0002!
It would be cool to get something from Kahr documenting this rifle!

Being a member here should not make any difference. I sent in an inquiry myself. I'll keep ya posted if I get a response.

Hey "Pilgrim", just kidding General. I've always had good look calling Kahr and getting connected to customer service to inquire about such things. Don't know if they've changed their policy now and require email. Either way I hope you get a reply soon. And welcome to the Forum!
