Default Eagle .357 locking back with one rounds to go

New gun, my first Desert Eagle, it's a .357 ported version and the slide is locking back with one round left in the magazine. I was shooting two types of ammo, Magtech 158 FMJ, which is on the list and I tried AAC 158 FMJ with the same result. The AAC also had a few failed to load issues but also felt noticeably softer with recoil so I'm guessing just stick with hotter ammo. But not sure why the slide locks back with one round left in the mag. Just dropping the slide works and the last round fires

Sounds like as the magazine spring pressure decreases, the slide velocity increases,
and maybe it's velocity is not allowing the last round to come up in time to be picked
up by the bolt* Maybe change magazine springs, or stretch the one you have a little,
    and see what happens*

After about 80 rounds the issue seems to have resolved itself. Had no issues with 50 rounds of magtech ammo
