Default Dawson Precision -- Fixed Carry, Fiber Optic Sights for Kahrs

I no longer spend the $$ to get "night sights" as I've determined that if I can't see my sights, then the chances are pretty good that I can't see the target or what's behind/next to it either. That said, I did want better sights than the now-dead night sights which were on my Kahrs when they were bought used.

Both my K9 and T9 now wear Dawson Precision's "Fixed Carry, Fiber Optic Sights" as shown in the 2 images below, and I really like these sights. They provide a great sight picture, for me anyway, and they were very easily installed too. As the K9 is my regular carry piece, I was lucky to obtain a K9 Crimson Trace grip off this forum a few years ago -- that was a great addition too.

Nice. I'm still on the fence about night sights vs FO. I like FO more in the day, and your point about seeing the target in the dark has some validity. But I also like that I need no light to find my gun where it rests at night with its night sights. I'm leaning towards FO on new pistols though.

I have found fiber optics to be to fragile on carry gun. I have either Trijicon HD Orange or XS Big Dots on all of my guns. At my local gunsmith he claims he replaces many broken fiber optic sights.

FO sights can be somewhat fragile, I suppose. But I've been using them for many years on various trail guns and hunting guns, and have never broken one. It's certainly possible though. Nice thing is though that if you can add them you can also replace them. That's why we have sight pushers.

Isn't it usually just the tube that breaks. Most even come with different color tubes, you can change. Easy to replace. They don't seem to work for me, maybe I haven't come across the right color or something. Color Blind so reds and greens are sometimes not the best.
