Default New PM45 Slide not locking back

New gun, Field stripped following directions.
    Cleaned and did 10-point lube.
Installed slide following the 4 3 slide install process.
For the life of me, with a mag in place, I cannot get the slide to lock in the open position.
Any ideas as to what I may have done incorrectly?

    Thanks for looking.

You may have installed the slide stop lever over the spring. Pull it part way out and see how it's oriented.

Great, thanks. I'll dig back in to it.

    What I'm seeing:

    Guess I destroyed the spring?
My two previous Kahrs were a K9 and K40 Covert. Both well worn with no issues.
This one is tighter than a tick. Should have just gone to the club and fired about 500 rounds before field stripping.

Bent the spring back up as best I could. Then, using all 5 of my hands, managed to get it in correctly.
    Keeping it locked open.
Will to try to put 500 rounds through it before ever doing this again.
    Thanks for your assistance.

Should be fine, the spring is really important and rather fragile. They don't often break but get out of position.

Five hands are always good when working on some firearms! Glad you got it sorted out.
