    Default Coyote Charter Arms

I had posted earlier about a new 380 revolver, the Charter Arms Coyote in 380. Well, rather than give a full review at this point,Let me say that I was so delighted with the little Revolver I ordered and received this new DAO model
As I mentioned, I never considered a Charter Arms before, just never paid much attention. I have the Smith 642, a couple of LCR's. I read where Charter Arms had new CNC machines for their main parts. The more I read, the more impressed, so I took a challange and received the Coyote. I was very pleased. Love the moon clips, the trigger pull was very smooth, a little heavy, but smooth, band such a pleasant shooter.
What is interesting is that now Charter Arms has three different trigger springs. This one was the "New Blue" which is about 8 lbs of very smooth pull. Best I have had other than the Ruger. The DA/SA was the new Original and they have a medium Yellow.
Customer service was Fantastic. I had a number of questions and they answered right away. Emails are answered in a few hours. Eric from Customer Service sent men two new springs to try out, fully complete with our. Parts are easy to get on Numerich. The trigger is great, the quality so much better than expected. Customer service great. Love the MOON CLIPS and Love the Fiber optics sight on the DAO.

I picked up a Charter Arm Bull Dog in 9mm last week. Some sort of double spring setup so you don’t need moon clips. Softer shooting than my LCR 9mm. I must have gotten a Friday afternoon build. It will have to go back or down the road. Will dry fire fine but on the very first cylinder the cylinder locks in place. Takes a pen knife to move the spent casing towards the cylinder to free it up. The way the primer looks the firing pin might be getting hung up on the primer. Time will tell.

Unfortunately, I've heard of this issue a lot with cheaper revolvers. Not just the Friday guns.................

I believe what you are talking about is a simple fix. Look at the "Release screw" in this video. Make sure it is flush. Just a slight turn of the screw will fix the issue.

Just got back from shooting the Coyote DAO, One thing I can say about this gun is that it is just downright fun to shoot. The recoil is the type of recoil that most shooters love. Just enough to give the gun the feeling of having life, but nothing at all unpleasant. I am not recoil sensitive, love shooting my LCR9mm and Smith 642.
. I have shot pocket guns like the Kahr 380 for so many years they now seem like 22.cal.
That said, I normally shoot the Smith and Ruger with a glove. No need for a glove with the Coyote. Easy to shoot one handed and off hand. Love the fiber optic front sight. The moon clips make for fast loading and not brass to pick up.
Nice fun day at the range.

PS I was concerned that I would get some light strikes with this LIGHT trigger. But all ammo ran great. no Issues.

The Charter Arms now come with three hammer springs Two new.
My DA/SA is about 11 lbs of pull my DAO is 8.2 lbs of pull with Lyman digital gauge\
I ordered and have the other springs. Will try them out in the DA/SA.
