Default 2025 Cargo Pant Pocket Holster Recommendations?

    Hi all!

I'm switching my EDC to a Sig P365 Spectre Comp and my beloved Kahr PM9 is going on cargo pants pocket duty, so I'm needing a good pocket holster for it.

I think I like the Recluse Clamshell holsters like this...

...though I've never tried one so I'm looking to hear from those more experienced than I?

    What do Ya'll recommend?

    TIA!

    Doug

I use/used nothing but Desantis Nemesis for pocket pistols. For a bit larger, I have a couple of Remora's that I like. It's nice when you can wrap your firearm and mold them into the holster with a hairdryer. I don't have any issues with draw with either. All pocket pistols print to a certain degree if they're in a pants pocket. If they're not printing because of a regular pocket, they're kind of bouncing around in a larger cargo type pocket. Right now, my wife is carrying an LCPII .380 in a Nemesis made for an MK9. I can carry a Beretta APX compact in one made for a Ruger SP101. You never really know what will fit something else until you have one. The prices are ok also. They are also very light. Every ounce you save may be your own. I believe that Remora still has the free holster offer going. Spend $30 bucks and get a free holster. It's what I did in the past. Bought one for one firearm, got a free one for another........................................

I've got a bag full of Remoras. Never thought of that. I'll have to give it a try.

That Recluse looks nice if you want leather but is a little spendy……If you carry guns long enough you’ll end up with a big box of holsters you thought would be perfect but found they didn’t work as expected and ended up in the box……My every day CCW pistol is a PM9 and I have more than a few holsters for it but have found that a Sticky Holsters MD-1 is the perfect non leather pocket holster for the Kahr……It holds the pistol upright in a pocket with it’s squared bottom, is very light weight, holds up well and doesn’t break the bank at 30 bucks or so…….I’ve had several Uncle Mikes holsters and they were OK but the Sticky’s are much better made and stay in the pocket when you draw…..Check one out, they have sizes to fit most any size carry pistol……..www.stickyholsters.com

I've used the Desantis Nemesis with the CM9, and with other micros for years. Can't see spending $85 for a pocket pistol holster. The Remora looks like an improvement on the Nemesis, since it should stay open for reholstering once it's been custom shaped.

I do not usually carry Pocket guns to include all my many pocket guns in a pocket. Nothing over 12 ounces. Very slow to the draw. I appendix carry or small desantis owb. If if do pocket carry it is usually one of these.

OWB. Fits very close to the body. De Santis

This nice light weight Remora also has a metal and removable clip FOR IWB carry.

I must add that although I used to pocket carry almost exclusively, I don't anymore. You get older, reflexes get slower, hand strength decreases etc. Used to be very quick getting a firearm out of my pocket. Not so much anymore. Hence, the use of Remora's. To the mailbox, on the property, or riding in the car IWB or tucking it between the seat and the console. Saves your leather holster. I now carry OWB 85% of the time.

    Thanks all, appreciate the help!

I live in a liberal area of CA, so I'm also concerned about printing, and the two sided Recluse seems to be the best in that regard along with it's complete trigger coverage, so I'm likely going to spend the extra though I'm still researching it?

I've been carrying my PM9 for years IWB, all set-up for that, but the Sig P365 Spectre Comp will take on that role going forward for the most part as I just got it added to my permit, so the PM9 will most likely be popular for the pocket and as a back-up until I can get a lighter 380 some day.

    Thanks again!

    Doug
