. My PM9 has over 40,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

This was on my newest-been-back-to-Kahr-once-already P380 for Wifey. I think it's somewhere between 300 and 400 rounds since its return now. That must have been soft metal to fail like that so quickly. I have sent two emails now and am waiting to hear from Kahr. I'll be making an order up for my Polymers for a few more spare parts!

If I stop my the range to fire my EDC, I want to leave with it working!

I DO have a spare magazine catch for my P40... and slide lock springs and screws and washers for all.

I just checked on prices for the four parts including the extractor... $24.20 for each pistol, plus shipping... over $100... Oh, well....

I appreciate the suggestion, but I had a G17 back before my small, crippled hands were as bad as they are now, and it felt like I was holding onto a 2x4. I haven't handled a new G19 with the thinner grip, but I think it would still be chunky. So for me, "Next?" is still an unanswered question.

Actually, Mr. JFootin, your "next" ought to be a body guard to carry the weapons and a chauffeuse to handle the driving chores.
It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.

I got a message from Jay wanting my address to ship me another magazine catch. He didn't mention the first message concerning the PM9 as well. So I asked about that, too. He says that he really likes good, clear pictures of the problem(s).

I have a cheap, orange-handled set of picks from Harbor Freight that cost me a buck or two at most, Several of those are great for manipulating the magazine catch spring and holding it out of the way.

I tried to find my small diamond file set, but my usual practice is to put nothing away properly, so I have to tear the house or garage up to find anything.

I'd have to find my lost silver spoon!

Actually, I enjoy driving and am convinced that I do it better than most.

Dang! I had to go to the first post and see if this was MY thread! HIJACKED!... MINE!

Anyhow, got several emails from Jay at Kahr CS and he found the first message and will send parts for both guns! Yay!

He said that the extractors were pistol specific and that all of the P380 parts were different, but that most of the other parts were the same. Let me get his words about the extractor and the other pins and springs... good information to know!

"In response to your other question, the 380 parts are all different. All the extractors are different between the calibers. The extractor pin back is different for the 45. other than that all the extractor parts( front pin, spring and back pin) are the same. I hope this information helps. sincerely, Jay"

That will cut down on the cost of my additional parts inventory considerably!

    Sorry!

P.S. It started off with a serious suggestion to have a J frame as a backup to finicky semi-autos.
