Help needed in Reloading. 429 De

Hi

I am attempting to locate 429 case check to make sure I sized the case right..I can find nothing, but some thing has to be out there?? Or a work around?

I have used the chamber of my barrel in many instances. It's a little harder to tell on a DE vs. barrels from other types of firearms. Drop a factory cartridge in your clean barrel chamber and note where it stops. Now check that your reload drop in to the same place.

FWIW, my early Lee set would not bump the shoulder back far enough. The slide/bolt would close on the reloaded cartridges, but the bolt could not rotate to lock fully. I had to have about .010" removed from the shell holder to get it to size the cases correctly. Now it's happy. If I set the two cases next to each other, you could also see the slight difference in shoulder location.
