Everytime I travel and rent a new car it's always a pain.
Even something as simple as how to open the damn gas cap can be a mystery
As a professional software engineer I pride myself on developing simple intuitive designs.
There's absolutely no good reason this new stuff has to be so difficult to operate.
Ordered my 2013 Tacoma 4x4 with a stick shift and crank windows
I got almost 400K out of my last Toyota 4x4 (1988) and I've got about 130K on this one.
Truly don't know what I'm going to do when I wear this one out

Those things are all over downtown Atlanta where I work, I stay away from them, probably safe but I ain’t walking in front of one……Technology is fine in a car until it fails…..There was a story in the latest Readers Digest about a teenage boy driving a Honda Pilot that went haywire going full throttle and the computer overriding everything he did to try and turn it off or stop it….. A State Trooper was finally able to get in front and use his patrol cars brakes to get it stopped before the kid ran out of road…….The Honda had done this before and the dealership couldn’t find anything wrong but after the second time it happened that came very close to killing the kid their insurance totaled it……
