    No front sight, just a little empty hole where a bead sight must’ve been, and the rear replacement is just a crude notched thing.
    The end of the magazine where the barrel was sawed off has a slot cut with a metal plug (with a screw to anchor it) that is removed for loading.
    No magazine spring, so apparently the gun had to be tilted vertically to let gravity do its thing for loading as the lever is operated.
    Crazy setup for sure, but the lever action functions just fine.

    My dad bought it in Monterrey, Mexico for $500 in the early 1970a when he was still working for a university there.
    We thought that was a hefty sum then for a cobbled up gun, but guess it would fetch a decent price today.
    I wound up with it when us three brothers divided his collection 30 years ago.
    Gave it to my oldest son last year for his birthday, since he has always favored it.

    Don’t like the # panel on the grip, but it does have a front night sight.
